    Please keep in mind that the ADVC-HD50 does HDV, not FullHD:

    Converts 1280x720 HDMI to 1280x720 HDV, and 1920x1080 to 1440x1080 HDV

    So if your source is 1920x1080 you'll end up with 1440x1080.

    ADVC700 is our 'lowest' level YUV to FireWire converter - but it only handles SD component.

    Component = analogue, firewire = digital, to convert between them you will need rather more than just a cable. That's why Edius SP costs more than Edius NX!

    Does anybody know if there is such as cable that converts component to firewire? I'd like to feed a component HD signal into my firewire NX breakout box for capturing. This is the only output of this particular source of video.
