Is V-Mute Bent?

V-Mute (Shift+V) works everywhere except where a transition or cross-fade is present! (only within the transition or cross-fade, outside, all is well.)

works the same here

however I never use V-mute, I prefer to roll my own with the left mouse button and a few clicks while fully zoomed, I find the V-mute never really exactly does what I want to achieve

Good to hear I'm not the only one losing my marbles.
So, why the restriction?
V-Mute is great for clicks and pops.

can you remember if it worked in earlier versions? If so, it should be fixed in an update
