when you burn a DVD, the max bitrate should not exceed 8000

    so your audio is 256 + 7700 video = 7956 (just under 8000)

video, i left CBR "8 Mbps" (should i set at 7.7 mbps?), audio, i selected AC-3 at 48 Khz and 256 kbps (there isn't 44 khz, only 48). Anyway there is to say that the original audio track is a 44Khz 16 bit wave file and the project audio setting in edius is always at 44100 hz.
So what could be the problem? Thanks!
    yes, set to 7.7mbps

48k is the correct audio format for video

    44.1k is for music CD's

here is how to use Nero for burning VIDEO_TS content

What hardware/software were you using on the PC to play it?

I use nero image recorder because i haven't a dvd recorder on the pc where i made the project, so i have to create a dvd image in order to burn from another pc.
Anyway the problem seems to be resolved. On the first pc the audio doesn't work, so i moved the iso image to the notebook and it's all ok. I don't know why audio doesn't work on the other pc! what a strange thing!

Why do you use nero image recorder?

    Just use the burning program

    Choose video dvd
    Drag the
Audio_ts and Video_Ts folder over and burn.
    That is it.

Better yet use canopus dvd creator and burn direct from the time.

Ok, understood, but i recorded the dvd through nero "image recorder" and the iso was created, so i mounted it on the virtual drive, but i see only the video without audio! :(
I don't understand where i make the mistake!

    Here i am!

i followed the procedure, but there is a problem: audio doesn't work. In the project is all ok, but when exporting, the Audio_ts folder remains empty (video_ts is ok), so when i record dvd i watch only the video without audio.
These are the output settings: video, i left CBR "8 Mbps" (should i set at 7.7 mbps?), audio, i selected AC-3 at 48 Khz and 256 kbps (there isn't 44 khz, only 48). Anyway there is to say that the original audio track is a 44Khz 16 bit wave file and the project audio setting in edius is always at 44100 hz.

    1. mark in and out on timeline of section you wish on DVD
    2. click Print to DVD from export dropdown
    3. untick automatic for video and audio bitrate, set maximum of 7700 for video and set audio to ac3 at 256
    4. go to style tab, intick "use DVD menu"
    5. go to write tab and tick only as seen in attached
    6. click the burn button

then when finished, use the resulting VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS, do not use the Temp folder

Exporting and burning dvd withi Edius

Hi guys, please forgive any language error, i'm writing from Italy and i hope to resolve my problem.
I have a project made with edius 4 with one video track and one audio track. Now it's time to export the entire project and record on dvd. It's the first time i use edius so i need help for the procedure. What i have to do to record the video on dvd and make it reproducible on all common dvd player?
Please consider that on the pc where i made the project there isn't any dvd recorder, i have to record dvds from another pc, so after exporting from edius i should have the definitive audio_ts and video_ts folders in order to transfer them to the other pc and record with nero burning.
I hope to have been clear...thanks for answers!
Working...
