  • move clip frame by fram in timeline

I won´t to move a clip frame by frame in timline by using keyboard not the mouse is that possible?

  • #2
sure is possible, use the , and . keys

but first, you must press the correct keyboard shortcut for roll mode, in my case F8 but maybe different in your case

alternatively, ctrl+click the left and right edge of the clip so the clip has green handles, then press , for 1 frame to left and . for 1 frame to right

    shift + , for 10 frames right
    shift + . for 10 frames left

to created a shortcut key for nudge

go to customize, keyboard shortcuts, find "Trim-select roll"

apply an available keyboard shortcut, in my case F8

to use, select any clip, press F8, then use , or . to nudge

Check if your Sync mode is on or off.
If it is, turn off your Sync mode, then try the above.

i've done all this and tried with sync mode off and on - it just trims the end of the clip in the timeline that's been selected - not moving the whole clip without trimming...plz anyone explain more precisely - 10x in advance...

and to speed the process, I made a keybord shortcut for "Trim-select roll" (F7)

then all I need to do is push < or >

shift + > moves 10 frames in one hit to right
shift + < moves 10 frames in one hit to left
