    i have upgraded my pc to dore 2 duo 2,66 (e8200) , and new motherboard and after reinstalling win xp (sp2) i installed new edius 4,61
    Whed i start editing hd, edius simply crashes and restarts pc.


    does someone have any idea what is the problem?

    p.s. with athlon x64 3000+ it works great!

    What video card and drivers are you using?
    Any VST's in the audio tracks?
    Are the MoBo chipset drivers properly installed?

      Mobo drivers are installed corectly.
      I tried with and widthout audio!
      GF is nvidia 8600!

        any RED clues in event viewer, system or apps?

        hard disks formatted NTFS?

        disk speed OK?

        any yellow warnings in device manager?

          there are no unusual clues in event viewer, and everithing in device manager is working

          disk is NTFS, and disk speed is 7200 so....

            ok, can you disable the option to reboot when an error occurs, hopefully then we can see what the problem is



            also, make sure you install the full 250MB CD version of the service pack as this contains HDV drivers, or even better the full version of SP3 also around 250mb and available for download
