File type for web site?

I only have procoder xpress to work with, my friend is building my new web site, I'll be using several 3-4 minute video clips that are sitting on my Edius timeline as HQ avi's. any suggestions on what type of file and size etc. within Edius I may use while maintaining good quality or do I need to use a third party app. thanks, Gary
