For those of you having problems with dvds not being able to play back properly, read this. I thought a dvd was a dvd. Read this to learn more about the dvd blanks you're currently using. Watch out for fakes!!

Unfortunately you can't go by the media codes alone since there have been numerous instances of low-quality no-name manufacturers "borrowing" the media codes of reputable ones.
