See that you do, but understand that a Mac OS port is extremely unlikely of ever eventuating. -
.
I think EDIUS is fine as it is on the Windows side, though I really like OSX more than Windows, but that's another topic. EDIUS should be competing with Premiere Pro, I personally like EDIUS more than these other NLE's on the market simply because it does what it does well with no compromise.
I will add a post to the future features list.Leave a comment:

Thing is, Apple has it locked down in the NLE market for Macintosh..and FCP is "it" for them. Not even Premiere Pro, which is available for OSX Leopard, can compete with FCP under OSX.
Mac users are much different from Windows users...it's like a cult following, but that's what I've seen with my eyes, I might be wrong. I heard that Adobe might be buying FCP so I don't know....

You might want to post such a request in the Feature Request forum, you never know what might happen :)Leave a comment:

Edius On OSX 10.5
Just some thoughts.
I have using Edius since 1.0. Edius has some very good features that works well with my work flow, compared to FC Pro and PPro.
Given that apple uses intel processors and more importantly the NX cards are compatible on the mac pros, it only makes business sense that GV develops Edius for OSX 10.5 + for the following reasons:
1) Edius would become viable option for hardcore mac users. Certain mac users would not use Edius even if it was the best application on the planet. With Apple going intel, this can only be a new business opportunity to explore for GV (more sales, more money, bigger market share).
2) OSX 10.5 would provide a better native application look and feel, and thus encourage more users or people to try Edius.
3) Apple has great hardware and software support,
4) Apple products offers a unique and stylish in both hardware and software
5) More people are using or moving to Macs (including myself) and many users will consider Edius as an alternative option to FC Pro
6) Also, No worry about viruses, no need to have two PCs, one for Editing and for browsing the net without having to worry about your system being corrupted with viruses.
I like edius, so i use it on windows. But i also have a macbook pro which i have had for nearly two years and it has to be one of the best laptops when combined with OSX 10.5.
I would love to see Edius work natively on Mac OSX 10.5 and would even consider paying premium.
Please note that this is just my view and is not to start war between PC v Mac.
