You may know this:
You can use several layers of a mix - sharpen/soften/sharpen in the effects palette
or
layer priority providing you different visual outcomes eg colour balance 1st then sharpen vs sharpen 1st and col bal 2nd to get differing treatments/results.
The same can be said for audio filters. The layer order affects the outcome.
You can spend a lot of time here (on this) if you have it.

about the m2p darken, when i record my avi into a mini dv cassete(mastering) the result is perfect!exactly what it shows in the edius time line.
so, as long as i keep it as avi it won't be any problems.
but i do have customers that need it as a dvd format.
so my solution right now is, i use my avi footage straight to dvd architect 3.0
and the result is good..i mean really good..do u think procoder got it wrong?
oh ya about sharpen, i do add sharpen in every footage that used 3d PIP.
but i don't know, somehow it doesn't look as nice as the original one.

you can add a sharpen filter to PIP in order to increase sharpness
check the waveform of a colourbar clip on timeline, then export to m2p, then load the m2p on the Edius timeline and check the level, report what changed
how to use waveforms (PAL)

3d picture in picture drop sharpness
hi..
i've used edius 3.62 for a while,.. now i've installed edius 4.
but the same problems i found...everytime i give 3d pict in pict..or pict.in pict my footage getting a bit blur...i found the same problem on both version of edius..
the other problem is when i transcode my avi footage(canopus hq codec or cdvc) into dvd format(m2p) using procoder2, it gets a bit darker.
(i've compared both by playing them in the same monitor)
is anyone found the same problem?Tags: None
