Hi,

Does anybody know the name of the dip to black (from adobe premiere) effect in edius?

I'm also searching for an effect that does the fade in/out for the audio signal

For audio you can:
1 fade with rubber band.
2 Use the fade buttons a top the timeline
3 Apply an audio fade transition (from the audio transition folder)
4 put your setting that an audio fade is applied when you add your default transition

Fade to black:

1 mixer rubber band
2 apply a dissolve
3 use the fade button a top the time line
4 create a black color matte and dissolve to the clip.

If you do not see the fade to black buttons on your timeline (Like SR suggested) then go into settings/application settings/customize/ buttons/timeline

mm the disolve effect does not do what I want...I want that the transitions goes to black totally and then shows the new fragments.
The fade to black buttons are doing this but it seems that I cannot change the duration?
