  • Capture with dvstorm help please.

I need to know a simple answer.

I am going to capture from vhs (home movie) to dv via the stormbay on my old dvstorm, and using edius.

I am familiar with Edius in the dv to dv and thereafter.

My question, is, is there any settings I need to set or tweak that will make the transfer from vhs to dv via the storm as good a quality/lossless as possible? This is just on the capture part from vhs to dv thru the storm, nothing more....I just want the best quality possible going from vhs to dv..thanks..t

If you have a VHS player with S Video out, use that for best possible picture quality..that's about the only tweak I can think of...the signal through the S video input to the break out box seems pretty clean to me.

Another thing to look at is the settings/hardware settings in Edius. You can tweek a few things there for the analog footage also. :)
