I don't have any information regarding any compatibility issues, so the usual 'tread with caution' motif applies.

I would imagine that we'll have support info in due time (for when SP3 appears on 'Automatic Updates')

I have been using SP3 RC1 & 2 for many months, and now since 2 weeks SP3 RTM with Edius at my rig at home (see spec's below), and can report that there are no "extra" isues with Edius, or any apps. that I use for that matter.

Not that much to gain from SP3, but compared to my system running on SP2 it feels more responsive and runs "feels" like, uhh, smoooth.

At the office I haven't dare to make the jump yet, can't afford much down time there.

Before you try SP3 on any production system, make sure you have an SP2 + Edius back up image of some sort, just incase.

I downloaded the release version of SP3 from MSDN yesterday and have so far installed it on five systems, one of which is my Edius editing system.

While I obviously haven't had a chance to test SP3 much, I've not run into problems either. On one of the systems I had to uninstall one particular Hotfix, SP3 refused to install with it on the system.

I did fire up Edius for a couple of minutes to try obvious things like opening projects, scrubbing the timeline, importing files into the bin etc.

As always I would make a complete backup of your system before you undertake any radical surgery.

            Sp3

I'm using WinXP SP3 for about 2 months, RC then RTM.
No issues so far but a slight increase of OS.
            Go for it!

I just upgraded 4 office machine's to SP3 RTM, 3 went fine, including the Edius work station.

The graphic workstation did not go so well, after the reboot the feared BSOD, (haven't seen that for a long time) came out en a safe boot did not allow to un-install SP3. (as advertised by Mr Bill G)

A 1 hour+ repair did also not work, still BSOD so now formatted the system and re-installed the works, so far running well on SP3 RTM.

So to ALL, you are warned, maybe an isolated case, but on my colleague's laptop it did also go wrong !

Make sure to have a system drive image on a safe place !

Installed SP3 today on one of the machines, no problems to report so far. I don't think MS can mess up XP Pro anymore so their newer SP's should be fine.

Vista will be what XP Pro is by SP2, I am guessing.

                      Installed sp on 2 machines.

Just a word for the mac pro users be sure to update bootcamp to 2.1 first.
I had that update installed already and untill now sp 3 works without any problem.
Still have to do some tests.
