  • Monitor Type and Connection for Edius?

I've got Edius Broadcast 4.61, an NX card, and a Gigabyte 8800 GTS with dual monitors. I'm about to buy a new XDCAM-EX.
Question: I'm about to purchase a monitor to go with this setup. What's the best way to hook up a monitor to my Edius setup for HD preview? I want to get one that will work with my current system configuration if that's possible.

    Questions:
What sort of monitor should I buy, what input(s) should it have, and how/where do I connect it into this setup to work as live preview with Edius.
(Do I need additional hardware? If so, what?)
Thanks for your time and suggestions
    Trevor

if you have the complete NX (with component out card) then all you need to do is buy a HD Plasma or HD LCD with component input connectors (most have them)

I use a Fujitsu 42" HD Plasma and I am happy

others use Sony Bravia LCD and are happy

My NX card has a front bay (Model is NHX-B10) with composite (RCA) Video and Audio LR In/Out, and S-Video In/Out as well as the 1394 connection to a camera/deck. The rear of the card in the computer has two S-Video, 3.5mm In/Out and 1 x 1394.

The card in the PC does not have the expansion board and no Y,Pb,Pr BNC connectors. Am I stuck?

OK, I'm stuck. How do I get unstuck? (Edit XDCAM-EX footage, and hook up a HD monitor)

Try to find a expansion board. Hook it up and your done.
