Sadly, you aren't. This is a directive of Microsoft, due in part to concerns of piracy.

Actually, as I understand it, you can't do this with nVidia 8000/9000 series cards. A limitation of Windows. I would love to be corrected.

How would you have your Fullscreen...
with (as it currently is in the Monitor window) or without Overscan?

    Monitors

Thanks guys! Yup it is pretty easy to move the windows around. Coming from Avid Liquid I find the Player and Recorder windows in Edius have a better resolution. In any case it's nice to see the project run in full screen mode to get a more accurate feel of the end product.

    Guys
I dedicate the whole of the Left Hand monitor to the Edius monitor in "Single" Mode and the Right hand monitor to Timeline etc and this works just great.
Just drag the monitor to the left hand monitor and resize after moving everything else to the right hand monitor, sorry I can't post a picture but I do not have a web site to deposit the jpeg.
The monitor switches automatically between Recorder and Player and for the few times you want to go back just click the control at top right!
Edius is probably the only program that this can be done due to the uncluttered workspace and filters etc comming up as "Pop Ups"
    Hope this helps

It is usually done through the cards control panel.

But if it is workinf well for you now I wouldn't worry about it :)

    Dual Card

    Thanks Mike
Yes, I do have a dual monitor card with dual monitors. It is the Nvidia 7300 GT. How do I set it for full screen playback? Is this through Windows control panel or in Edius?
Actually by resizing the dual view...I am not sure that I really need this capability anyway!

Edius doesn't have this feature but if you have a video card with dual outputs you can set one of them for full video playback so when you play a video it will take over the second monitor.

    Full Screen Display

I have just down loaded the most recent version of Edius. I can not seem to find where the "full screen mode" is. Perhaps it does not have this capability? Other apps have this and I find this very usefull when previewing the master viewer.
Working...
