The ram sticks are installed correctly. I have always used Edius without any problem.

I'd like to tell you I have just unistalled Edius and installed it again (EDIUS Software v4 v4.6 Full DVD Disc Image) but I have the same problem.
Try it without the full disc image. Install 4.0 then the 4.61 update.
I have noticed that my install of the full allows Edius to start and two instances of the titler to load. It stalls at load up.
I intend to reinstall from the 4.0 disc.

      WONDERFUL!!! You are right.
Edius v.4.02 works perfectly! But when I have updated to v.4.61 I have get the same problem. I am dogged by bad luck!

I'd like to give you some news:
When I have opened Edius v.4.02 I have noticed Edius had just lost its config.
I have not configured it and I have installed the update v.4.61. When I have opened Edius again, it was already configured perfectly (in the way I configured it many days ago) but it worked bad.
      What bad luck!!

it appears there are folders left behind after you uninstall

I suggest you uninstall again and then delete all left behind folders in program files, docs and settings, application data for user and all users

I have worked much about my problem and I think I will wait the next version of Edius. I hope it will not give problems.
I hope it will ship very early.

Last night I backed up my system drive before installing XP SP3 and Edius 4.61 update.

I loaded up a +3 hour timeline using the DVStorm profile with DV files and it was snappy. Even the clip properties would pop up instantly no lag. Loading up a HDV timeline using the OHCI 1440x1080 profile there was a very slight lag in the clip properties around 0.25 seconds too fast to time and well under half a second, Rusty's lag sounds like it takes a couple of seconds to to get the clip properties up.

It sounds like the problems with lagging or slowness are related with the NX PCIe hardware. Has anyone tried changing Project Settings to OHCI to see if the lagging has changed?

This may not be the problem but are the systems overclocked? If so double check that the PCI Express Frequency in the BIOS is NOT set to Auto, manually set it to 100, overclocked or not.

I would even try powering down the system and remove the power cord and re-seat the NX PCIe card or even try another slot. Or remove the NX hardware and re-test with 1394/OHCI card to see if the lagging has changed.

Good to hear. Doesn't sound like a hardware problem... Edius 4.6x driver issues with NX PCIe hardware?

Yes I have NX PCIe hardware. Now I am afraid to update to Edius v4.61, I'm waiting for the next version of Edius. ;)

If you are up to it, trying installing v4.61 update WITHOUT loading (or unchecking) the NX driver from the update and see if that works better.
