  • how to give video a thumping effect..?

    Hi Guys,

Does anyone know how i can make my video look like it's thumping when the bass notes hit on my audio?

    3d PinP.

You're better off using After Effects, though...you can actually take the audio notes and use an expression to match the property settings to the audio.

Have you looked at proDAD's Mercalli Shaker? I think it comes free with the Mercalli image stabiliser and has a virtually nil learning-curve, unlike AfterFX.

There was a good thread with three different approaches on the old forum...too bad it's gone.

        What tools do you have?

My contribution to that thread was this clip which was a test of (if I recall correctly) keyframed horizontal motion blur to emulate the sub-bass hit effects in a Ludachris video.

Maybe this is something like what you are looking for:

If yes, you can do it using 3d pip as STORMDAVE said.

I have a preset made. PM me and i will sent it to you.

          Cheers

If you're set on doing stuff only within EDIUS, you could try a keyframed (via Blend Effects) Loop Slide.
