    I have just penciled in a preorder with my regular supplier here in the u.k. for 2 x new sony pmw ex3s, available around the end of July.
    So Im still useing edius broadcast version 4.54 ..havent upgraded just yet but will do very soon.
    So my question is does edius support all the formats available from this camera?
    Also are any of you editing with footage from the Sony ex1 with edius and how do you find it.

    I would think that Broadcast 4.61 will do the same job that it does for the EX1.
    Do a search for the EX1 and read about it.

      It's exactly the same - both models record the same formats.

      The only differences are:

      - Interchangeable lenses
      - Genlock
      - TC In/Out

        I think the same thing if the EX-1 and EX-3 use the same recording format, so you should not have problems in working natively with Edius Broadcast 4.61

          you forgot double the price$$$$$

          I just bought my EX-1 in November and had no idea the EX-3 was coming out.

          I wish that I had waited.... the abilility to dump the lens that comes with the EX would have been worth the wait.
