  • Extra HDV resolution in a DV project

I know I can use the layout tool to reframe a HDV clip using its extra resolution, but I want to keyframe it.
I want to use it like a 3dPiP, so I can keyframe movements (pan & scan).
When I try the 3dPiP it doesn't use its extra resolution, it just zooms in the video.

    Is this possible with Edius?

      No it is not BUT
It is possible using Boris RED outside of Edius and exporting the finished file in CanopusHQ HD AVI with or without Transparent background (Alpha)
      Hope that helps

Another reason I have Vegas 8 and CS3. They have good controls for keyframing motion/cropping/zooming. But their multicam is horrible compared to Edius. Nothings perfect!!!!
