Breakout Box Output

We are trying to put edius directy to our stl (studio transmitter link) system, and have managed to get the audio working through the breakout box, but cannot see video, even though composite video is connected.

Also, we are only able to output the player window? Thought we could see timelines, were able to do this when the station used a different editor previously.

Are you using a harwarde profile or ohci?

Btw is the link HD capable?

Because there is a setting to mute the output if the board detects a sd only display while outputting HD.
It could be that it is on and the board thinks its hookup is SD only so it mutes it. TRY disabling it.

(look under general i/o settings -> output settings -> ..deselect mute if the setting does not match the out format)

btw I write this based on the Nx I don't have an sp. But the baseboards are the same.

I think the key here is the mention of the "composite video." The composite output will only give you SD playout, and neither the NX or SP will up/down convert content. You need to be using the component output on the daughter card in order to get HD playout.

Through the component output on the daughter card, you will only be getting the player window in this way--this is one of the main features of this hardware and probably what most people buy/use it for. Unless you are taking a mirrored computer desktop output from another VGA or DVI output from your graphics card, there is no way to get that kind of output through the EDIUS hardware.
