  • User Profiles create themselves

many times, user Profiles create themselves for "an unknown to me" reason

I then need to delete it

anyone have an idea what creates these mysterious users named User

I only want Anton as the user profile and nothing else, how to stop this from happening?

It's a Windows-related thing. EDIUS will always create a default profile based on the username that is currently logged into the system.

I've yet to find a way to prevent this from reappearing. It's one of those cases of EDIUS being user-friendly to a fault. :)

hmm, I am always logged in as the same user, my PC only has one account

also, how can you save the user profile responsible for buttons that appear on monitors and timeline in order to transfer to another PC?

I dug deep in application data and found some User000 folders containing 1 file in one folder and 2 files in another, are they all needed or only one in particular? I named the user profile Anton as seen in my screenshot above, but Edius does not save it as such for easy finding

here are the path to the files I believe I would need, please confirm

        C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Canopus\EDIUS\4.00\User\User000\Setting (has 1 file)

        C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Canopus\EDIUS\4.00\User\ApplicationData\Canop us\EDIUS\4.00\User\User000\Setting (has 2 files)

          Anton,

Have you used right click on the profile icon and export?

          Do this at start up.
Everybody here has his/profile on a usb stick for save keeping.

That is a cool little feature.

It works great over a network also! :)
