Hey John, good to see you went that route :)
The updates section has the 4.6 ISO image download, if you purchase EDIUS (or EDIUS NX, which comes with EDIUS4) and it doesn't come with at least 4.6, then you can just insert the dongle in, run the setup from the ISO, then download 4.61 update and go from there. There shouldn't be any problems from the update.
Also before you install any software, backup your Windows partition with WinClone. So you can restore anytime you want and start from fresh without installing Windows again.

Thanks Kenneally.
Yep - you're right - 4.61 is what I should have said - no reason to start false rumors over a non-existant version.
Saw you at 2 different NAB booths - wanted to say hi - but you always were mobbed.

Actually, there is no 4.62 - I think you mean 4.61 (the most current release).
Updates to the physical media happen in waves, so there's never a definite guarantee that you'll get the absolute latest build on the DVD. It always pays to check the version number and then jump onto the web site to pull down the latest version.
Presently, the is no way to 'slipstream' an update into an installation ISO image. As such, I cannot offer any advice on how to create a once-only installation process.

Thanks Jerry.
Yep - StormDave was my inspiration for the MacPro DualQuad - he helped me spec out the details.
Really looking forward to running Edius on it. Have been going thru the training books on Final Cut Studio to get a handle on it. FCP is a very nice NLE along with some very capable sister programs, but Edius shines in RT and ease of getting things done.
Was hoping for the cleanest Edius install path on a new clean machine.

I hope we can get a clean 4.62 install disc with the purchase from Sales Office at San Jose - have a call in and waiting for a call back.
Is there such a clean install process available? or is it installing older versions and then upgrade overwrites? Seem to remember there was an .iso available.
Stormdave would be the resident expert on using Edius on a Mac.
