I'm working on a Montage of a custom home shoot, still shots of a 11 thousand sq. ft. home here in Arizona, In the media room I'm trying to superimpose a video clip with the clients logo set to Old film look, using 3D pinp to place the clip over the Movie screen in the media room, the problem is since the room was shot on a angle the clip I'm putting on the screen need perspective adjustment, which seems to do nothing in pinp, all other adjustments work fine. what am I missing. you are not missing anything, perspective is very limited, you need a magnifying glass to see the difference of max perspective versus no perspective
I use BorisFX9 for perspective shots, add Boris to clip as a filterAnton Strauss

You will get a little more out of perspective in 3DPIP if you use it with postion and orientation at the same time.
Don't know if this will help you MinMinc. May be worth a try, better than a 'flat' image that looks obviously out of place.peterC

Hopefully GV will incorporate a "perspective" control in the filter and make this task as simple as it should be. I use another NLE app for the perspective feature it has within 3D PIP filter. It is a very powerfull feature. You can easily add signs to buildings, make video walls etc.
Before I invested in a dedicated compositing program, I easily composited a city square similiar to NYC's Time Square using 2D still pictures within the NLE. Even added a jumbo video screen on one of the buildings. It was all very simple to do, but I couldn't have done it so easily without the perspective control.
I'll have to check the feature requests. This would be a great one to have added.Tom Koveleskie - Director/Producer/Editor
