  • F11 Export Problem

    Hi!

Every time I press F11 to open the export window, Edius AutoSaves the project. Is there a way to disable this?

I have some large projects that take about 30 seconds to save each time, and sometimes I am exporting many small parts of Audio and need to change the IN and OUT and press F-11 a lot and it's fustrating to have to wait half a minute each time, for the project to save again. There is also no need to save the project so many times, as I have not made any changes to it.

NOTE: Even if I completely disable AUTOSAVE in the program prefs, it STILL auto saves when F11 is pressed.

    Thanks

in application settings, you can disable auto save or you can increase the interval from the default of every 3 min to say 10min

Thanks for the reply but please read my post again. I mentioned that even if I disable the Autosave, it still auto saves on each press of the F11 key. Also, no matter what interval I choose for Autosave in the prefs, Edius will ALWAYS Autosave on each press of the F11 key and this is what I want to disable.

      Could this be a bug?

p.s. I am using the latest version, if I'm not mistaken, it's 4.61

          Ok, please try this....

Make an IN and OUT point. Even a duration of a few seconds, and export the audio. Now make the OUT point IN, jump a few seconds and make another OUT point and press F11. The Autosave will kick in. Keep doing this and you will see that every time you advance the IN and OUT and press F11 to export, Edius will Autosave.

btw, I have projects with 500 clips and several sequences and autosave or save takes 1 second

how large is your project (clips and sequences) and the actual project file?

do you have non standard clips on timeline such as wmv, mpg, qt etc?

                re

Yeh, it's a pretty large project because it's a wedding preset project which I use for editing weddings. Has many sequences, music, AE mov exports (which are used for intros etc') so I have no complaints there. I know it's a biggy. Also, I don't always have to use this Audio export thing... Only when I special guest singer was at a wedding, I will export the audio in 5 minute intervals to make an Audio CD for the client.
