Heroglyph 2.6 has a Dia-Show Wizard for unlimited photos. Each photo can have an effect and a sub-text.
The workflow is very easy and fast.

For the pickups yes. the rest is (done later) group select and drop the effect. Might work quicker than you think and if IM2 isn't around right now.....well....it's done anyway while waiting. Agree?

I have to admit I didn´t even try Edius stanalone, but I don´t think I can place blur-3DPIP and a dissolve in one go.

I think you can if still n no k/f's on 3DPIP. Cut at trs point n ctrlT to dupe playout point. Insert/ butt-edit the dupe at cut point n blur diss out if I got u right.

This goes fast and delivers good quality:
- Use Imaginate with projectsettings and a template you create in advance => drop the photos on the imaginate timeline & save the project.
- Drop the imaginate project on your Edius timelime. (like a clip)
- Adjust the total length of this "imaginate" clip.
- Export to the format you need.

We got a major project for the soccer euro08. we will produce daily films for the fanzones in one of the hostcities. one part of the film will be a collage of up to 300 pictures shot with digicams in town from the day before.
problem 1: the photos will probably have different resolutions from different cameras.
problem 2: I don´t want to only fade them, but would like to zoom-blur-dissolve them somehow.
problem 3: time is an issue, because we also have to make MPG-streams and burn DVDs which takes time again.

Will a plugin like Vitascene or Boris Red speed things up? Ideally I select all pictures and drag one effect onto them and voila....should be done. Render MPG and burn. Will that work with Vitascene.
