  • problems since update

    Hello all.

Since the last update (FROM 10.34.12119) I can no longer export or render.

The Jobmonitor shows that there is no activity at all. See picture.

Who can help me solve this?

I had the same problem when trying it in Edius X. So I tied it is Edius 9 and bingo it worked.
I then went back into Edius X and it now works.
In previous issues with Edius X it cannot tell if the drive exporting to is full or not, it just sits there not knowing what to do! But Edius 9 will show the drive is full.

restart the PC and try again

if that fails, reset the render service while EDIUS is closed
download the app, unzip and then double click the exe to start, then type 4 and press enter a couple of times until done
then start EDIUS and do a test export

Hello Anton. I only now see your message. ( I had a busy weekend ;-) )
I have implemented your suggestion, but unfortunately to no avail.

        What now?

I solved it by uninstalling version 10.34.12119 and installing a previous version (10.34.10198).
Does anyone have an explanation for this?
Am I the only one who has encountered this problem?

maybe you did not allow the render service in the Firewall? https://forum.grassvalley.com/forum/...878#post565878

          Hello antonsvideo .

I applied the "tips of the moderators" and installed the new update again. (10.34.12119) And Edius is working as usual again.

Thank you very much for your help.

            Hi all,

Despite the fact that Edius is working properly again, I still have a few questions.
I have been using Edius and my anti-virus program for over 10 years. Why do I now have to adjust the settings in the anti-virus program?
And why me? Have others also had to make this adjustment?

It is I suspect the real time monitoring of files that is causing the issue in Defender and AV.

The security has increased for real time file creation and execution monitoring just around the time Edius X came out.

I also found that the speed of copying large files from one disk to another was slowed down by Windows Defender as it has a 2GByte monitoring limit. Files larger than that will show a sudden drop in copy speed as defender is not sure what to do. Excluding the video drive and say the backup drive fixes that issue. ESET NOD32 has a similar issue.

Copy speeds without monitoring from internal RAID to SSD 1.2GB/sec, with real time monitoring on 275MB/sec until the speed drops.

              Regards

              Mike
