I haven't used EDIUS for a long time,From EDIUS8 to EDIUSX, NVIDIA GPU decoding is still not supported. What should I do?

There isn't a set rule that says you can use only one NLE. Edius is a tool just like any other NLE. Use the tools that allow you to be the most effective, efficient, and creative when working on a project.

It's really a pity. Maybe I won't be able to use EDIUS to edit new projects again

As for me, Edius (versions 5, 6, 9, 10) is all I need for everything I do.
        Regards,

        Jon

My 2 cents... Edius 5.51 for capture on 2 XP for driver DV and NX & HDstorm. Edius 9 for editing and export in MP4/H264. All this following Anton informations.

You guys may have a different opinion if you have to edit 4K 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 10bit 60P h265 source files with a log profile ( you will need PCC to correct to rec709 so need a good GPU with at least 8G VRAM ). I do not think either of your systems will run a single track with those files and certainly not multicam. EDIUS is perfect for older video formats and I do still use for those. However for new video codecs and a non Intel PC system without Quicksync it is not competitive with the free version of Resolve on the same PC as long as the PC has a good modern GPU for 4K with lots of VRAM too. I am sure that EDIUS works fine with a new Intel CPU with quicksync and a good NVIDIA GPU with 8G VRAM but if your preference is AMD CPU then you are out of luck.

The best option is to use the tool that works best for the task. At least there are lots of options.

greater the hope, the greater the disappointment.Oh, indeed, I have adapted to Leonardo da Vinci's workflow. Of course, the first thing is to change Da Vinci's shortcut keys to be the same as EDIUS.Can only wish EDIUS a bright future.Sorry, my native language is Chinese.
