  • Showing clip markers from camcorder recording

On my Canon XF605 and XF305 cameras I can record markers that should be seen in the Edius timeline when editing. I did a shoot last week and was adding shot marks as I was recording however these are not showing up in Edius. I can see them on the individual clips when the SD card is sitting in the camcorder as a "S" appears on the thumbnail of each clip.

I'm not sure if I have utilized this feature within Edius X, but defiantly have done it with older version of Edius.

I am sure its just a setting somewhere in Edius. Please help!

It works fine here, I do shotmarks all the time

you will only see them in EDIUS if you transfer the clips correct with source browser add and transfer to bin, all (this will then include the needed xml files)

Hi Anton, you've done it again. YES, you must copy all of "Çontents" across and then markers will show up. I did notice that it doesn't matter if you use Source Browser of just drag a clip in and it will show the marker(s).

      Thanks again

      Martin.

yes, the xml files are the key for markers and extended clip information on what camera settings you used etc.
