4.61 released!

hmmmm ..please can you tell me, which Cam, which format 1440 or 1920, 50 or 60 frames, and what for "convert" procedure ??

a) convert per export to file
b) convert in bin per contex >> to HQ
c) convert per AVCHD2HQ converter (newest version)

variant "c" makes problems (for my SR11 files and .....I am not alone...)
curiosity ... same file ....6 enconding tests with AVCHD2HQ >> 4 results good ..2 bad and unusable
I am sure, it is not my small D950 case, other (european) user with Q6600 >> same results

I would think that maybe AVCHD would be more appropriate for Edius Neo wouldnt it? - We use a Sony AVCHD cam with Neo and it rocks compared to Vegas and Premier - but of course we have to convert to HQ first..

Anyhow - Anything that Neo gets will probably be in Edius anyhow (being they are the same engine), so my *guess* is that it may be supported more adequately on both platforms this year. (sooon)

Only GV can answer that, but it looks that all the remaining issues and our wish list is being forward to the next version, and not the next update.

I think lots of people have this, so just exchange Edius from 4.60 to 4.61 and burn it.

the extras included in the 4.61 iso are tools such as mpeg capture and demo software such as Soundsoap etc, you can download these tools one by one from the canopus site

I don't know at this stage if there will be. Certainly, if one becomes available it will be place on the site.

As it is, I am currently out of the office (NAB) so I wouldn't expect any further info/update until after the show is finished.

you are reading the edius 4.6 readme

read the fixed items in 4.61, they are found in the readme of 4.61

* When editing a title clip, EDIUS may freeze
* A sequence may fail to import in some cases
* When footage is captured from only one tape with Batch Capture, a 'Please insert reel 001' message appears after every clip capture in the list
* Project files that contain many still images may take longer to load than with previous versions of EDIUS v4.x
