If you do want 10bit 4:2:2 in a compressed format, select H.265 and it will use QS. This is provided you have a chip with H.265 encoding capabilities.
I use H.265, or X265 from TMPGE, for UHD 60p thumbdrive delivery. However, it is 8 bit or 10 bit 4:2:0.
My LG does not support H.265 4:2:2 playback. Most tv's do not. The OLED sets may have that option.

if you deliver to the end user for PC and TV playback, stick to Main and High
use Main for anything up to 1280x720
use High for anything above 1280x720
you would only use 10bit or 4:2:2 if someone needs to edit the footage you provide, but then I would provide Prores and not mp4Leave a comment:

Differences between profiles while exporting
Hi!
Can anyone explain the differences between profiles when exporting the file?
obraz.png
As far as I can see the "High" and "Main" option uses QuickSync but "High 10" and "High 4:2:2" doesn't. Why?
Which one is the best to export 10bit videos and why?
And what are these "Extended Settings" and how should we use it?

Thank you in advance.Tags: None
