Arrow keys no longer work in Layout window

Hi,

The 6/right arrow key that allowed me to jump to the next frame is suddenly no longer working in the Layout window. When I press it the PC beeps or '6' is typed in the current timecode field. And I need that feature for mask tracking. If I jump to the next frame in the main timeline this doesn't affect the cursor position in the Layout window so I'm not being able to keyframe an object precisely. What's happened?!

Can you try this:
Open the layouter
Click on the playline either in the layouter or the timeline.
Do the arrow keys work now?
