No posts on this - so I thought I'd inquire again. Anyone know of an "old fashioned" VU meter that can display timeline audio when using the BM Mini 4K card? I have a complex number of tracks to monitor - but don't want to use the "little green bar-VU" one at the bottom of the EDIUS display monitor. Thank guys!

Waves Audio has the old time VU meters plugin. To test it out on your system you can download the demo from here: https://www.waves.com/plugins/vu-meter?w_campaign=1484676619&gclid=CjwKCAiAu5agBhBz EiwAdiR5tPzEa2ctAIyLSB7pME2sJc3G8EiBWAPG_Vt0ovV9NI lWEXZXDtKUQBoCnawQAvD_BwE#introducing-vu-meter-plugin
It is on sale for $17.99 and I just tested it with my BM min monitor 4k and it works. You will need to install Waves Central to use Waves plugins. After installation just link the C:\ Program Files\VSTPlugins folder
in the Edius VST folder found under System Settings>Effects>Vst Plug-in Bridge.
The screen shot is from the latest Edius X and Windows 11. The plugins work in Windows 10 as well.
I ran the VU meter on my second monitor to keep it from loosing visibility during the starting and stopping of the timeline.
You will have to be the judge of how accurate these are.
Good luck.Attached FilesLast edited by Jerry; 03-06-2023, 10:57 AM.Jerry

Anton - thanks, but even though the EDIUS VU works fine, the old style meters are easier to read (for me) out of the corner of my eye than the bar graph. LewS - thanks also. I've had that meter, as you have, for years. Good meter, but won't latch up with the BM 4K card. JohnD - also thanks - I'll give it a try when I can get back upstairs to the editor. And Jerry - will certainly follow your suggestion when I get a moment also. I always appreciate your help - you know that! So guys - all - many thanks for getting back to me. I'll post here after trying each one. Happy weekend!Alan J. Levi
