  • Converting Audio Track is creating a video and audio track

I used to convert MP3s to Wav in my timeline all the time without fuss.

I don't know what's changed, but now when I convert the WAV file created makes a video track (with waveform) and an audio track (without waveform). I can correct this by unlinking the two and then moving the video track down to the audio timeline, but I'm curious what I may have done that is created the video as well.

you have made a four channel wav file, there is no video in your file

change your project setting to stereo, 2 channel audio, then your wave export will only have 2 channels

or in print to file, select 2 channel
