  • Edius X pro v.10.34.9631 - GPU Errors

Hi, the GPU mp4 export file contains numerous pixel errors. What could be the reason?

(asus rog strix scar 17 se i9-1250hx, Geforce RTX 3070Ti, driver: nvidia studio 517.56, Windows 11)

If it is an exported H264 (NVIDIA encoder), this is normal. I have fed it back many times.

      Thank you for your answer.
I am using H.264/AVC MOV (NVIDIA hardware encode Exporter Plug-in).

Errors appear in almost every frame of the image. The strange thing is that the same clip plays in VLC correctly, Quick Time Player and FB have errors :/ . Maybe someone had this problem and know how to deal with it?

can you try without the Nvidia encoder?

Nvidia can't be trusted at this stage

Surely you mean Edius can't be trusted at this stage to work reliably with any GPU? ;)

I also had weird glitches on my nvidia exports a few months ago, exported files played fine on my pc but the same files where full of of artifacts when played back on a tv. and just last week, a png. file placed on top of a videolayer disappeared for a few frames on export. Currently I export all my files to a hqxavi and then use Resolve for all my mp4 exports. As I already have explained in another post not only this issue but also my black frame issue which keep appearing on 2 different pc's with totally different hardware (both with amd/nvidia hardware) has led to me switch to another NLE, I still have to finish several 2022 projects in Edius but 2023 projects will be completely handled by resolve as that NLE does not seem to have any issue at all so far on the same pc/hardware that Edius also makes use of, realtime playback and export speeds are also a lot better in Resolve thanks to it's excellent use of the GPU, a rtx3060ti. Based on my experience I can only conclude that the problem is not hardware related but it's Edius that continues to cause issues.

Yes, without the nvidia encoder everything is ok. Edius X has information in the specification that the nvidia GPU works and I would like to use it.

I hope that soon there will be some upgrade Edius improving cooperation with laptops with RTX 3070Ti.

on the bright side in my case, export without Nvidia GPU is faster

also, disabling Nvidia GPU for PCC enables faster exports
