How to capture DigiBeta using SDI Capture with Edius

I have a Sony DVW-A500 (just got serviced) and I want to start digitizing my Digital Betacam library. From what I've researched it appears the best way of doing this is using the SDI output of the deck. Is this correct?

Also, I only have an HD Storm which doesn't have SDI inputs. What's does Grass Valley offer hardware wise to do this?

you need a BM Mini Recorder, much cheaper than anything else and works perfect with EDIUS

If you can find a used Matrox MX02, that would also work. They're dirt cheap right now. I've seen a few for $100 or less. I have a MX02 LE that I still use once in a while. But I think you have to use Edius 7- 9 or so. And the Matrox has video and audio output to connect directly to your TV/monitor,etc., which is a plus

EDIUS 9.30 is the last version that can be used with Matrox, any version after that like 9.32 - 9.55 and all versions X won't work

Can you have Edius X and 9.30 on the same computer? Years ago I had 5.5 and 7 on one computer

And it is probably best you do! You can capture with 9 and edit in X with older capture hardware, like a Storm Mobile.
