David, you need to step back and look at some of these things again. This post is over a year and half old. Old news not applicable. Some of the things you say that you can't find in Edius are indeed there. If you were a bit more clear some of these things could get resolved. You jump to incorrect conclusions waaayyy too fast.

i played around with the trial...its just not my thing. its fast, but in the long run doesnt satisfy me at all. im going to stick with my regular NLE's i guess, but Edius has alot of room to grow....

Who cares? If he doesn't like it then he doesn't like it. We all know he could do everything he wants with EDIUS and AE but he's obviously looking for a more "consumer" level All-In-One app with all the bells and whistles. Let him ring and blow.

All the lead up about doing film and such and he never replied about film transfers and 10bit with realtime output to monitor. I can see that in FCP but I get the impression he uses Vegas for most of his work. Thats great if he likes it.
But, there is NO full rez output to see all of those effects he is applying to the 'film.'
I agree with the all in one consumer app. statement. Everything he is wanting is in AE and more. And that can be previewed through Edius and hardware to monitor.

I'll just go with different strokes for different folks.
But I will say, if you don't like Edius and you obviously don't , then stop posting and move on. There are more important (professional) things to be added to this program other than more effects.
