all you need to do is place the associated audio below video, then change the clip properties of the video to 59.94 and you have a perfect match

Also, when set at 120 fps, the motion seems too fast. I suspect it was shot at more like 100 fps which looks pretty normal. Having the original metadata as Anton suggests would help or at least something with voice to judge the actual fps of the clip more closely.Leave a comment:

the clip is missing extended info from the camera, this is caused by mot transferring via source browser
can you transfer one clip from camera memory card to EDIUS via source browser, then zip the Transferred folder and provide a download link
the extended info will reveal all settings you had in the camera, it was shot at 29.97fps according to mediainfo and EDIUS clip properties
maybe a talking head clip would be better so we can determine real speed by listening to soundLeave a comment:

Looking at your clip in Mediainfo and in Edius clip properties, it shows a framerate of 29.97 fps and when put on an Edius timeline it does play in slow motion. If I change the fps of the clip in the bin in clip properties and then put it on the timeline it looks to be playing closer to normal speed. It also plays back in slow motion in VLC Media Player. This appears to have been shot as a slow motion clip.Last edited by LewS; 06-29-2022, 01:19 AM.Leave a comment:

can you record a few seconds at 120fps and provide a download link, theoretically it should not play at slow motion, I can place a 60fps frame clip in my 25fps timeline and it plays normal
maybe you don't have the default frame rate of 120 selected in clip properties?Leave a comment:

If you put a 120 fps clip into a 29.97 timeline, it will play at normal speed (not slow motion) unless you change the recorded framerate in the clip's properties.Leave a comment:

what happens if you just put the file on the timeline? do you have a short clip for testing? what was the thinking behind shooting at 120fps? I would only conside3r that if I plan to slow something drasticallyLeave a comment:

No I want to play normal frame rate at 29.97 not slow motion in 120fpsLeave a comment:

I assume you shot 120fps in order to make nice slomo?
if yes, right click clip in EDIUS bin and in video properties, select the desired frame rate such as 24 or 29.97, then place it on the timeline

How to make 120 fps look like 29.97 fps in edius x
I am shooting in 120 4K and wanted to use 29.97 FPS IN EDIUS X Play on timeline.
How to Reduce/Increase Frame Rate
How to Convert 120 FPS to 24/29.97FPS
Is their any tool to do it without guessing manual speed increase ?Tags: None
