Well, I meet the same problem to batch convert from bin to Canopus HQX (to edit)
Genuine files are 80 all UHD coming from 3 sources all in MP4 (Camera Panasonic and 2 dji drones)
First operation, it takes without problem the first 40 files (mixed from all camera's) and export perfectly.
Now it refuses the following files in batch (it stay grey)...
I have separated the genuine files in 2 parts (in the bin)... no success...

The information is under Converting files in the manual. For future reference.

Thank you for the information. I couldn't find that information in the manual. I don't know why it would be designed this way, but thanks for the information/clarification.

This is by design.
When [File(batch)] is selected , the exporters that are displayed are limited to those which can output clips as a single file. (no exports to folder structure XDCam, P2 ect...)
It is actually noted in the manual. Which to be honest I also missed....:)

I can confirm that XAVC and XDCAM is missing when selecting batch, I will find out why
meanwhile, may I suggest to convert to Prores, everyone can play thatLast edited by antonsvideo; 06-13-2022, 02:44 AM.

Sorry I messed up my captions and associated pictures, but you can see the comvert options are different. Any suggestions?

Thanks Anton.
For these files they were brought in (transfer and add to bin) for all clips in this project (a wedding).
I've attached another example, using files from same camera, same shoot, same wedding, moments apart.
Using Cips10 & 11 for this example.
If I just try a single file convert, you see the options I get, with XAVC & XAVC S option available on left or in recently used.
When I select files 10 & 11 at same time and select convert batch, you see the XAVC & XAVC S options are not there. File Convert single Clip10.jpg
And Cip11
File Convert single Clip11.jpg
When I select files 10 & 11 at same time and select convert batch, you see the XAVC & XAVC S options are not there.
File ConvertBatch Clip10 and 11.jpg
Does this make sense? Am I missing a control somewhere?
Thanks

I tested and it worked fine with all conversion options available, see attached
there must be something different among clips or they are divided clips which happens in P2 at 4GB intervals, source browser would stitch these

how were the clips added to the bin? via source browser, add and transfer to bin? or via copy paste from card to PC and then add to bin?

Thanks to both. BTW, I forgot to mention I'm on E 10.32.8750.
I was careful to only select the same type/format/camera of clip. I even tested by only selected 2 clips for the batch convert which I know were 2 clips from same camera in same format. Same result.
The VLC is a good thought, but at this point I'd like to understand what's going on with batch convert.
Thanks again for any input.

Have you only selected clips that are exactly the same format - are there any images in among them for example. If you try and batch convert images there are less options so if one is included in the list it would reduce the options.

Bin Batch Convert limitation
I'm converting a bunch of clips (same format, same camera) from XAVC in MXF, to XAVC S in MP4 (because the client can't view MXF files).
So, I can do exactly this on a single file (Rt-click, convert, File), and the above option appears and it works great.
However, when I select multiple clips and attempt to batch convert them all, the XAVC/XAVC S options are not present. There is a significant reduction in format options when doing a batch convert vs. a single clip convert.
What am I missing? or is this the way it's supposed to work? ThanksTags: None
