  • Edius + Prodad serious mistake

From the very beginning of Edius X, the same thing as in the screenshot happens, black and red squares on most of the Prodad transitions.
There are no such grids during assembly, only after converting to the final mp4 file such things come out.
I wrote this post to state that I am fed up with this program, and I'm with edius from version 2. I have returns from almost every order and I have to correct it. I will add that I have been following the topic from the beginning and none of the solutions helped.
    I guess it's time for a change.

I sometimes get this on export with prodad transitions, in edius however the transition looks fine.

Could you guys answer a few questions on this.

          1. What are your system specs
          2. Edius X Pro or WG?
          3. Are you using the Edius X Prodad free version or full? If the free version, is the one from June 15th, 2021?
          4. What are your project settings
          5. What are your clip properties
          6. When you get the checkerboard image, does it show in the bottom right corner of the interface that you have lost sync with the clip(s)?
          7. What are the export codecs and settings used when the issue occurs?

          Thanks

Render the transition in the timeline (shift g) and be sure that there is nothing in the track under it

when you export to mp4, is the hardware encoder enabled, if yes, disable it and see if the transition exports ok

I have had this issue as well while trying to install plugins, Edius then prevents the install, the only way for me to deal with this was to kill these render engine processes in the taskmanager and then very quickly click proceed on whatever I"m trying to install, edius automatically restarts these render engine processes so you have to be quick, otherwise the install will still fail. Maybe someone else has a easier way to deal with this.

You can use the Render Engine button and Pause it. Then restart after the install.
