It works!!!
Now I'm experimenting with the copy used clips option. Is it a simple copy or they are re encoded? I'm asking because in the export folder I find all .mov files (even .wav tracks)
Edit: yes clips are reencoded in HQX.
Thanksssss

Select all the clips in the Timeline and put them in a new folder in the Bin with the "Add to Bin" command. Then select all the clips in the Bin and change the "Frame Rate" to 25 fps. Now go back to Timeline and export as "Use Original Clips" with "Export Project/AAF" command. It will not give an error. You can now open it as Import AAF in Davinci without any problems.Last edited by Sorcerer; 09-27-2022, 12:03 PM.Leave a comment:

If you export using the copy clips option it should change them all to 25P clips which you can grade and then you can make a 25P master.Leave a comment:

Project is 25p and all 50p clips play at 100% speed.
During conversion they retain original speed and lenght?
I was thinking to export the final edit (without titles and graphics) to a lossless codec and the grading in Resolve. Is it a dumb idea?Leave a comment:

You cannot export and link to the originals but you can export and make new versions of the clips. EDIUS then converts the clips on the timeline to the project frame rate.Leave a comment:

I revive this old thread: you confirm that is impossibile to export in AAF with mixed clips 25 and 50p?

David, i don't suggest it in complicated projects but it is nice to know how it works! Maybe in some cases will be usefulLeave a comment:

Very interestung Dannyvdstudio. I tried it and my project did change to 50P but it was in quite a mess. I could get clips to play at the right speed by dragging the ends out and back but nested sequences seemed to be a complete mess.Leave a comment:

1. Unzip .ezp
2. Open .ews with hex editor (I use HxD)
3. Find the first occurance of "FrameRate"
(in hex values): 46 72 61 6D 65 52 61 74 65 8E 80 80 80 00 78 03 6E 75 6D 01 19
The last 19 (25 decimal) is the project framerate. Simply change it to 32 (50 decimal)
or replace
25p
46 72 61 6D 65 52 61 74 65 8E 80 80 80 00 78 03 6E 75 6D 01 19
50p
46 72 61 6D 65 52 61 74 65 8E 80 80 80 00 78 03 6E 75 6D 01 32
5. Save
6. Zip all together and rename .zip to .ezp
7. Open in Edius. All clips plays at double speed,
You can fix that, by dragging the end of the clip (shortening) and extend back.Leave a comment:

Resolve allows you to create different framerate timelines within the same project where you can copy finished edits between these timelines and export at different framerates if needed. It's all in the details, they should consider hiring a actual editor to advise the team that is programming the software. :)Leave a comment:
