David, i don't suggest it in complicated projects but it is nice to know how it works! Maybe in some cases will be useful

I revive this old thread: you confirm that is impossibile to export in AAF with mixed clips 25 and 50p?

You cannot export and link to the originals but you can export and make new versions of the clips. EDIUS then converts the clips on the timeline to the project frame rate.EDIUS silver certified trainer.

Project is 25p and all 50p clips play at 100% speed.
During conversion they retain original speed and lenght?
I was thinking to export the final edit (without titles and graphics) to a lossless codec and the grading in Resolve. Is it a dumb idea?Edius 8.53 WG on Intel i9-9900K, Fractal design Celsius S24, ASRock Z390 Taichi, 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4, 3GHz, Corsair RM850x, 1x500GB + 2x2TB Samsung EVO SSD, 10TB Toshiba HDD, MSI GTX 1660 6GB DDR5

If you export using the copy clips option it should change them all to 25P clips which you can grade and then you can make a 25P master.EDIUS silver certified trainer.

Select all the clips in the Timeline and put them in a new folder in the Bin with the "Add to Bin" command. Then select all the clips in the Bin and change the "Frame Rate" to 25 fps. Now go back to Timeline and export as "Use Original Clips" with "Export Project/AAF" command. It will not give an error. You can now open it as Import AAF in Davinci without any problems.Last edited by Sorcerer; 09-27-2022, 12:03 PM.

Now I'm experimenting with the copy used clips option. Is it a simple copy or they are re encoded? I'm asking because in the export folder I find all .mov files (even .wav tracks)
Edit: yes clips are reencoded in HQX.
