Mync lost

I am told a different way to install the latest download of Edius due to some problems. In doing so I have lost Mync completely. It used to load at the same time in order but now it does not load at all . Should I go back to the original somewhere?

Do you see this folder on your computer:
C:\Program Files\Grass Valley\Mync

EDIUS always removes the program icons from the task bar with an update but does not remove the program itself. What is the different way you used to install stuff? What happens if you just re-install by running the update file?

Thanks for both replies. Yes I ahve the Mync folder where you indicate. I switch on do nothing else then run the latest downloads version. The result is it loads correctly but then does not recognise goro files or mp4 files . It does recognise avi files Mync does not load or update. I will switch off and run the update file.

This means you are just doing a normal update - I only suggested that you restart then run the update in my latest video if EDIUS complained it could not do it. This sounds like something has gone wrong during the update. Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling?

have just uninstalled everything then reinstalled the latest download . Result Mync although back is frozen. Edius does not read mp4 and go pro files. Started again this time using the previous Edius version everything works fine. There is a problem with this latest download whatever Grass Valley admit. I shall leave it now until the next update. I don't tihink there is an issue with the update file as many have updated. Can you check if you antivirus software is not blocking something during installation?
