Well yes, that was how it used to be. I was working in SD Upper field as capture was HQ but even switching fields made no different - no data on E to E - but Print to tape is working, which was why I had thought I had missed a setting.
EDIT- Finally cracked it - output PREVIEW DISPLAY was set to Intensity and of course the E to E would be OHCI. 10.00 am must be time for a celebration Southern Comfort!!!

started a topic Firewire bi-directional data?

    Firewire bi-directional data?

Something I have not done for years and years, probably back to E3 and E4* but I had a request to transfer something from DigiBeta to DVCam.
Using E9 and BM Intensity captured tape from DigiBeta in Component. Went dub out to DVCam and saw nothing on the DVCam deck (HDR25) this was setup for PAL DVCam NOT AUTO. Putting a test tape into the DVCam deck I could capture into E9 so Firewire was good. After a tweak to the profile O/P I could print to tape but cannot work out why I don't see any data E to E from E9 TL to HDR25. In the old days I KNOW that you could capture to tape manually. What have I missed?
Working...
