  • BRAW v2 (colour science 5) wont import into edius 9 or x

Just got a second BMPCC 4k and it came with the new firmware, updated the original camera too. Footage viewable in resolve and the BM Raw viewer but wont import into edius (9.54 WG) or X. Is there an update coming? Or available that recognises the new BRAW? What would be the best export format from resolve to continue the edit in edius (multicam with 7 cams - 2 BMPCC)

Resolve will export HQX. Assuming you have all on the same PC so that the codec is available.

Support is coming in a future update. Out of resolve you can export to HQX, DNxHr, Prores (any codec supported by EDIUS)

Hardly practical when you have 10 hours of footage.

Do you have another option for the OP to do this now with EDIUS? Please share.
I just answered the question because the OP specifically asked for export format. :)

For Windows Resolve does not export ProRes ( only on Mac) so my choice would only be HQX. Will take a lot of room too, though if BRAW is on a T5 then it could be converted to HQX on an internal drive.

Yes currently we need an intermediate solution. We are aware of the issue and will provide support in future update.
                Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks all. I've just finished a big shoot with hours of BRAW footage and disappointed that I simply can't import all the Blackmagic RAW footage into Edius. Found out the hard way that it doesnt work and now spending hours to transcode the footage. I hope the update comes quickly!

Do you have a short sample of a Braw 2.0 clip that you could share?
