  • Proofing to Clients

Realized I do not have quick sync with Edius 10 (or I cant find it)...What quick rendered format do you all use for client proofs. mp4 takes approx 2hrs 45 mins. This projects is 55 mins... I guess I am just looking for a decent proof at a quick turn around time...
    Thanks,
    Dano

are you giving them an 8k proof? or has your pc only 2 cores?

a 55min HD proof to mp4 export without Quicksync takes 6min here

No my computer is ok. Just can find a way on the new computer to activate quick sync. Somebody also recommended a program in the nvidea video cards that speed things up...but I dont think edius uses it.

On my Threadripper, so no QS, exporting a GH5 UHD 60P file of 58min takes 14 mins to 1280x720 at 6Mbps. Do all settings in the export window.

I select H264/AVC on the left and right and click export, and then set a bitrate as low as 6M, you need to switch project setting to 1280x720 prior to export and when done switch back to UHD
