I didn't know the audio_TS folder is needed. I've been burning hundreds of dvds for many years without the audio folder and have not had a complaint about not being able to play the dvd in a player. When I duplicate a dvd, I simply copy and burn the Video_TS folder and nothing else. At what point is the Audio folder required? -
It would be a god thing if the AUDIO-TS folder would be writhen on the disk so you do not need to worry bout if your costumer can play it or not, it is nice to export demos direct to disks from the timeline, it saves time.
Finelised dvd´s i use an other DVD ap.

IF you tick the box that just creates the files and use Nero to burn, Edius DVD Creator actual then provides Audio-ts,Video-ts and a MPEG output files as well. Then burn with Nero and have a lot more control. Or even take the MPEG file into another authoring program if you want!!!!

Then maybe a feature request ?, write the AUDIO-TS folder with canopus dvd burner, more compliant that way ?Leave a comment:

It's always empty for DVD video, unless you make a DVD Audio or hybrid disc. However, it is required for some players, I've seen it first hand, a project works with Audio_TS folder, remove it and it doesn't play. Hence I always use it or use Nero which always adds it.Leave a comment:

The AUDIO-TS folder is not always needed and in most instances empty anyway.
I'm pretty sure the Edius DVD software only burns at the fastest burn rate allowed. (by the burner or media) This may not offer the most reliable burns, as Nero does.Leave a comment:

Why is this ? Canopus dvd burner
Hi
I have burnt som dvd with canopus dvd burner, but it doesn´t work on all dvd-players, I then burnt the dvd volume with nero, no problem plays everwhere, I use the same DVD-discs, so that is not the problem.....
Is there som settings I missed with Canopus dvd-burner ?
Only thing I notice, is that Canopus doesn´t write AUDIO-TS folder, is this correct ?Last edited by Ludde; 04-02-2008, 06:35 PM.Tags: None
