You may want to check for the updates several times. On average my systems take two or three updates to complete. Shut down completely each time not just the restarts Windows asks for to complete.

Yes it may ask several times. When you go to shut down you may find it asks to update and shut down or update and re start. I let it shut down. Then I load again and ask it to check for updates again. It often finds more so this process can take a few cycles. It may seem that it has finished then in a few days you find it again asks to update and shut down etc. I find by forcing the issue of checking for updates it seems to do this less. I am in Canada so I think about 6 hours behind Belgium.

Thank you Ron. Windows is not simple... and I understand now beter that my provider starting a new installation needs time only to be sure of having the very last version of Windows before installing all the rest.
(It's seems very much simple with a Mac.) Why is this so complicate ?

                          Have a nice weekend

I did the latest update on one of my PC's last evening. Three times update and shut down to complete. I expect that if I did not look for the update after it did the first it may have taken several days with of course the prompt appearing every time. It is easier to force the issue and have it complete.

I am not a Mac user but i expect it just does it in the background like Android. I like having the choices of Windows.
