  • Ediusx plays music for FLAC format,it reads hard disk crazily

This happens with any FLAC audio, when playing, it will constantly read the hard disk, and the indicator light will flash madly. hoping to fix the problem.
In addition, whether you can add “.ape” files support, it is lossless audio, which format is very common and often used.

This problem has existed from edius9.4 to edius10.10. Playing FLAC format audio will lead to frequent flash of hard disk light and abnormal read speed operat...

Crazy reading hard disk has nothing to do with refreshing waveform cache.

Is 'flac' listed as a supported format for ediusX? Only have E8. Flac not listed in E8 manual(pdf), Why would you expect it to feature in X?

A simply search through forum postings shows that support has been requested way back in time. Please apply a little sereach before complaining. Thanks.

This is not my intention to find fault, it has affected the normal use, It is compatible in EDIUS. which has been supported in edius9.4. At that time, Because I was an online editor and found that it took up a lot of network bandwidth, If this is not the place of feedback problems, please tell me how to feedback,Thanks!

When you play back, you will see that EDIUS is reading the hard disk crazily. You can find this problem through the task manager. I think it is the programmer who wrote the pointer function incorrectly
Play audio is no problem, crazy read hard disk is the problem, you can try

Here is the general use/description of the forum. Although this is the official grass Valley forum, this is not tech support. We have a great group of users that try and help other users. Included in that group are a core of extremely knowledgeable individuals that can solve most normal problems. Users should read the sticky posts at the top of each forum. They give general rules, guidance, and also important solutions to common questions.

While some GV EDIUS people may visit, it is not a daily occurrence. There are a couple of us that can contact the EDIUS development team if the need arises. Needless to say, we use our discretion with that privilege and do not contact them with every users problems as many are operator understanding or machine specific situations. We try and solve them here if possible.

      OK, thank you.
This problem happens on every computer,Please check and feedback this question. It will make the hard disk read and write randomly, seriously slow down the performance of mechanical hard disk, or increase the consumption of network editing bandwidth, which should be the problem of program pointer code.
