  • EDIUS X render service always working?

I am wondering why the Edius HUB render service is constantly working even though Edius is not actually running.
This file activity monitor gives an example:

the idea of the new render service is that you can continue editing while rendering or exporting and you can also close EDIUS while exporting and it will continue to export with EDIUS closed

it is what many users wished for and now that they have it, they don't like it :)

I think the complaint is not that the service exists, but how it is implemented.

I understand the need for the service and how it works. But once it has stopped doing the rendering I would have expected it to still be just running as a service but not causing any unnecessary disk activity.

So, once Edius was shut down I assumed the service would be dormant and just waiting for Edius to start again. As it currently is written, it just seems to be keeping on looking all day to see if it has perchance any work to do.
