I believe the AE bridge was removed in edius x. It's not an error or bug. it is by design.

This was in the spec sheet. If you didn't do your research, that's on you.
THe Looks OFX plugin is no longer supported by Red Giant in Edius.

Firstly if you own EDIUS 9 then go back to that and open the project to output it.
If that is not an option they set an in and outpoint and do small sections of the timeline. Sections with no missing effect will export fine. I had this on a project and the effect was actually in a nest timeline on a clip that was not in use (there was a rendered version on the track above from my old project). This is annoying but the only option. As I said the best one would be open it in the version of EDIUS the project was originally made in and export there.

It's not a bug that there is no direct output, there is no direct output in EDIUS X. Batch export or print to file all get sent to the external renderer. The external renderer works well as long as you don't have missing filters in my experience.
Missing filters are a pita to find so we could do with a better way to find them. You should only get this problem with old projects or possibly projects given to you by Someone else. Any fresh projects in EDIUS X will only have filters you can actually use in it.
