  • Edius X can't import from DVD

Hello, I have Edius 9 and X on the same machine. I wanted to import from a DVD but in Edius X the CD/DVD input isn't showing up in the Source Browser, yet it does on the same machine in Edius 9.

I can use Edius 9 to do the job, but am puzzled as to why it isn't working with X. Is there something I need to set or is it just a peculiarity of X? I haven't seen any other comments about this, and am okay with the workaround I have, just puzzled.

    Thank you.

I was also surprised to see that Edius X is not able to import VOB-files. Fortunately I kept Edius 9.

        Why was this function removed?

          Why was this function removed?
why is it difficult to find a PC or case with burner slots?
why is it difficult to find a PC with a DV port?

it is because the clever people think it is no longer needed
